Hello!

Where do I come from? I grew up in a small village near Oborniki Wielkopolskie. In general, I spent most of my childhood in the Noteć Forest. Spending my days surrounded by nature had an enormous impact on my life and, even till this day, I try to spend as much time as possible outdoors. I’ve never seen any allure in city life.

Where do I live? Near the village I grew up in, where a forest is my neighbor.

What do I do? I’ve worked in IT for the last 20 years. This means that I spend 1/3 of my day in a virtual world hence my desire to be outdoors as much as possible, to recharge my batteries and to soak in the world with all of my senses.

What were the beginnings of my photographic journey? Photography has always been an integral part of my life. As a child I would spend hours looking through old family photos. I was playing with Zuch and Smiena cameras, sometimes even without a film. Around that time my love for photography was sparked. Initially, I was fascinated by drawing, painting and graphics. I tried to express myself through these forms. Alas,  lack of a mentor thwarted my artistic aspirations as I was struggling to find my path in art. Photography, in a way, became a substitute to other artistic techniques I had to abandon. Everything started 20 years ago, in the Mesozoic era of photography, as some may think about analog photography. By the time I managed to build my first dark room, the technology had taken a giant leap forward, leaving me behind. I was struggling to find a good laboratory. Films I had been using started vanishing from shelves and were gone for good several years later. Digital era was in full swing. As I didn’t feel I had enough high quality options at reasonable prices, I took a break from taking photos. Luckily, the Cenozoic era of photography arrived, giving me new possibilities which were unattainable before.

What’s photography to me? As I mentioned before, at the beginning it was the best and the fastest means of projecting my unfiltered visions. I must admit that my photos are not a direct reflection of reality since I’m not a reporter. I’d like my photos to depict the way I see the world. I know that it may not be everybody's cup of tea the but I’m fine with that.
Going back to the initial question...Photography is my passion, way of life and helps me to reset my mind.

Thank you for reaching the end. I invite you to watch and have a positive experience.
